The Nordic Walking is an activity practiced in the nature with two poles, but has nothing to do with hiking or rambling. First because poles are different and also because Nordic Walking is a gymnastic activity which makes work the cardiovascular system, increase the pulmonary capacity, muscles and articulations ton.
Before start walking 10 minutes of warm –up exercises are needed. Even Nordic Walkig is not aggressive for ankles, knees or back we need to prepare muscles before any effort. After the walk also 10 minutes of stretching are need to relax superior and inferior muscles.
The use of poles allows working the superior muscles. If we add to it the work with the legs, it means that we work the 90% of all our muscles. Our body burns around 400 calories while hiking the same distance only 280 calories would be burned.
Like it happens always when we do some activity in the open air, the Nordic walking helps to release endorphins, giving a wellness sensation and a lovely feeling of freedom. It helps also to control the stress and provides better oxygenation and cerebral capacity.
We have prepared for you a Nordic Walking international festival from 27th to 30th April 2017. A nice combination with guided routes by the sea and the mountains with great professionals, technical workshops, stretching in the beach and a stay in the fabulous Hotel Kaktus Playa in Calella.
