Hiking or rambling, is a very popular activity with a long tradition in Catalonia. The Centre Excursionista de Catalunya (walking club) was created in 1876 and is one of the oldest clubs of its kind in Europe. Our walking holidays provides the visitor with an enjoyable way of discovering the history and customs of the land, as well as the nature of the culture and its heritage. We propose you an exclusive walking programme, with wonderful walks in the Catalan Mountains and a stay in a comfortable and nice hotel beside the sea. You will explore the Natural Parc of Montnegre, Montserrat, the holy mountain and the Costa Brava. Prices are quoted for groups of 8 people, but if you are less or more walkers, you are a group of friends, an associaton or a walking group, do not hesitate to contact us and we will organise for you a tailored made program. We will start our first walk having in the Montnegre Park until the Romanesque church of Hortsavinyà where we will enjoy a picnic. It was one of the settlements of the old Neolithic tribes on the Mediterranean coast and during centuries people was living there. We can find many remains of Romanesque churches, coal or lime ovens, ice wells, mills and old farmhouses. Moreover, thanks to its natural richness it is inhabited by different animal and vegetable species. It is a protected area and recommended for activities such as hiking, bird watching, trekking, rural tourism or simply to enjoy nature.
